Is Reiki Jin Kei Do the right fit for you? A deeper look
A clear, honest look at lineage-based Reiki, depth of practice, and why this path isn’t designed for everyone.

A quick note before we begin
You don’t normally hear from me outside of the Wednesday newsletter, but this is a one-off extra edition.
I’ve been playing catch-up with myself and wanted to properly share a new article that builds directly on Wednesday’s discussion around Reiki training, cost, and depth. From next week onwards, we’ll be back to the usual Wednesday-only rhythm.
Now, let’s get into it.
One of the biggest assumptions people make when they start exploring Reiki is that all systems are essentially the same. Different hand positions, different teachers, maybe a different certificate at the end, but broadly interchangeable.
They’re not.
Reiki Jin Kei Do was deliberately structured as a path of inner development, not just a collection of techniques. That distinction matters, because it means the system genuinely isn’t for everyone, and that’s not a weakness. It’s clarity.
In the new Knowledge Centre article, I explore what makes RJKD different, who it tends to suit, and just as importantly, who it probably won’t. In as honest a way as I can I’ve presented a grounded “fit” conversation that everyone else in the Reiki space avoids having.
If you’re someone who’s tired of generic, short-form spiritual courses, fast-track certifications, or systems that promise transformation without asking anything real of you, this will likely resonate.
And if you’re not, that’s useful information too.
You can read the full article here: Is Reiki Jin Kei Do the Right Fit for You?
Take your time with it. It’s not designed to convince you. It’s designed to help you make a clear decision.
Upcoming Training Dates
If, after reading, you feel drawn to deeper, structured practice, here are the next opportunities to train with me:
Buddho Level 1: 19th–20th December
An entry point into a profound system of meditation, energetic awareness, and inner discipline preserved within the RJKD lineage.
Buddho 3B: 2nd January
For those already on the Buddho path who are ready to continue their internal development with the next stage of practice and learn how to teach others the Buddho system.
Reiki Level 1: 9th–10th January
A live, lineage-based initiation into Reiki as a meditative and developmental system, not a weekend technique grab.
If you’re unsure which path or level is appropriate for you, just send me a message and we’ll talk it through properly. Otherwise you can find more information right here on my Courses Page.
Join The Abundant Mind
If you’re not already part of The Abundant Mind Facebook group, I’d strongly encourage you to join.
This isn’t a promotional group or a place for spiritual soundbites. It’s where I share longer-form reflections, challenge unhelpful narratives around healing and personal growth, and explore what real inner work actually looks like when it’s lived, not idealised.
It’s especially valuable if you’re exploring Reiki, Buddho, meditation, or the psychological patterns that quietly shape your life and decisions that we dive into much more deeply in The Abundant Self programme.
You can join here: The Abundant Mind
If you value depth, honesty, and conversations that don’t shy away from responsibility or self-inquiry, you’ll feel at home there.
As always, thank you for reading and for walking your own path with sincerity.
Speak soon, and from next week, back to Wednesdays only.
