Do you need permission to practice Reiki?

This comes up a lot, especially from new practitioners who’ve just learned about distant Reiki and want to do it “right.” The challenge is that most people misunderstand how Reiki actually works.

You don’t send or push Reiki at anyone. The energy isn’t directed, aimed, or imposed. The recipient draws it into themselves. If their system doesn’t draw, nothing is imposed.

That’s why permission isn’t mechanically required. The body itself acts as the on/off switch. And that switch isn’t governed by beliefs, opinions, or whether someone said yes or no. It sits deeper than all of that.

If the person is alive, Reiki can be drawn. It really is that simple.

Why The Abundant Self Had to Grow

Some things ask to grow.

When I first launched The Abundant Self, it was a quiet 4-day beta test run. Just a small group, a short window, and the simple idea that true abundance begins within.

Those four days landed with more impact than I expected. The conversations ran deeper. The changes were meaningful. And almost immediately, it became clear: this wasn’t a short course. It was the seed of something much bigger.
