How Reiki Jin Kei Do Compares to Other Reiki Systems

A clear guide for those seeking depth, structure, and a Reiki path that grows with you over time.

If you’ve spent any time exploring Reiki, you’ll have noticed how wide the landscape has become. The same word now covers everything from traditional Japanese systems to fast-track online certifications and heavily overlaid spiritual hybrids.

That variety can feel confusing, especially if you’re not just looking for a technique, but for a practice that supports long-term inner development.

In the new article I’ve published this week, I step back and map the Reiki landscape clearly. I explain how different systems tend to organise themselves, what they prioritise, and where Reiki Jin Kei Do sits within that picture.

What emerges is a simple distinction. Some systems focus primarily on accessibility and speed. Others blend Reiki with symbolic or spiritual overlays. A smaller number preserve Reiki as a disciplined path of meditative practice, energetic refinement, and inner maturation.

Reiki Jin Kei Do belongs firmly in that last category.

This isn’t about hierarchy or superiority. It’s about fit. Different systems serve different intentions. The value comes from understanding what each path actually trains you for, so you can choose consciously.

Christmas Competition

To close out the year, I’m running a Christmas competition that brings together everything I teach across Reiki, Buddho, and The Abundant Self.

First Prize

  • Free Reiki Level 1 and Level 2

  • Free Buddho Level 1 and Level 2

  • Free place on the full year-long The Abundant Self programme starting 7th January

  • The winner can invite one other person to receive exactly the same prizes

  • 50 percent off all future Reiki and Buddho training

Runner Up

Both the winner and runner up will receive a one-use voucher, valid for three months.

The landing page for the competition is being finalised. Unfortunately the next newsletter will be out on the day the competition ends, so if you’d like to enter, the best place to be is inside The Abundant Mind Facebook group. I’ll post the link there.

Community Invitation

The Abundant Mind is where I share deeper reflections on healing, awareness, responsibility, and personal development beyond surface-level spirituality.

If you resonate with disciplined practice, honest self-inquiry, and conversations that support real change, you’ll feel very at home there.

It’s also where competition details, early access links, and additional teaching threads are shared first.

You can join here: The Abundant Mind.

Upcoming Training & Programmes

Here’s what’s coming up in the next few weeks:

Buddho 3B
2nd January
For those continuing the Buddho path and ready to deepen internal practice and energetic refinement.

The Abundant Self
Starts 7th January
A year-long programme focused on awareness, self-relationship, and creating a stable internal foundation for an abundant life.

Reiki Level 1
9th and 10th January
A live, lineage-based introduction to Reiki as a meditative and developmental system.

If you’re unsure which path or level fits where you are right now, you’re welcome to send me a message or book a call and we’ll explore it properly. Or just go to my Courses page to sign up.

All the best,

Steve
